I have tried the suggested steps but they didn't work. I'm frustrated by Blizzard's process or policy. Desktop App is being downloaded! If your download didn't start, try again. Learn more about Battle.net ® Desktop App. Although the Mac OS X version was still called just 'Battle.net' with 'Blizzard Battle.net' appearing in it's title bar. In mid-June 2013, Blizzard announced testing of the Battle.net desktop app and it was released as a Beta in mid-August 2013.

You can install games directly through the app and, if you choose to leave the app running on your desktop, keep them up-to-date automatically even while you're away from your computer.
Install the App
- Press
Command+Space
and type Terminal and press enter/return key. - Run in Terminal app:

and press enter/return key.
If the screen prompts you to enter a password, please enter your Mac's user password to continue. When you type the password, it won't be displayed on screen, but the system would accept it. So just type your password and press ENTER/RETURN key. Then wait for the command to finish. - Run:
brew cask install battle-net
Done! You can now use Battle.net.
